SK Innovation announced its inclusion into the DJSI World Index for the first time since its establishment.

Only 320 companies out of the 2,528 global leaders in net worth, or 12.7%, were included in the 2017’s DJSI World Index, with only 23 countries aside from Korea.

SK Innovation’s inclusion into the World Index is notable as it serves as an official recognition of its sustainable management practices from a globally recognized organization. In particular, the oil and gas sector of the DJSI World Index is well known for featuring a smaller number of global major oil businesses because of itsent criteria, making this year’s achievement even more meaningful for SK Innovation.

SK Innovation has put forward a constant effort over the past years to a DJSI World-level sustainability in management, creating an integrated system for economic, social, and environmental areas and bolstering its shortcomings.
